The Pershing Middle School Library serves over 1,700
students and is part of the
Houston Independent School
District. In January, 2007, it was moved
with the rest of the school from it's home for the past
fifty years to beautiful, spacious, state-of-the art
facility. The library houses approximately twenty-thousand
books and materials. It is automated with Alexandria
software for circulation and online catalog use.
Twenty-eight workstations with Internet access, the library
catalog, and other software programs are available for
student use. Two stationary LCD
projectors with screens are available for the librarians'
and teachers' use as teaching aids
