Accelerated Reader
Program

Many classes at Pershing participate in
Accelerated Reader, a reading incentive program developed by Renaissance
Learning. The program combines popular
literature with computer software that tests comprehension and
manages student records. At Pershing our quiz list is extensive
and constantly updated to provide students with wonderful books
on a wide variety of topics and reading levels. With
approximately 9000 quizzes, it is our goal that every student will find
appealing literature to read, and that students will develop a
life-long love of reading.

Notice:
The AR store will be open next week, April 21-25. The AR
volunteer moms will bring the prizes to each 6th grade reading
class April 21, 22 so students can order their prizes. The
store will be open in the Library before and after school, April
23-25th for 7th and 8th graders. The hours will be
7:45-8:30 and 3:45 till 4:15. Happy shopping!!!
